Shanghai is a big advertising battlefield. You find ads in many sites and on many supports. For exemple at night a huge building of Pudong change into one of the world biggest advertising screen. You can find publicity campaigns on lcd screen in the cabs or every where in the subway… No big deal we could hopelessly say. Then it seems that the next level of intrusion is reached on poeple’s door! And to help you to find the way home at night, it is lighted…. My door is at the thirteenth beer. Hips

In Shanghai, rare are the angle of the buildings on main streets crossings which are not truncated. I like it, it opens visibility, makes turns safer and at last often shops are located there.

Shanghai 2010 universal expo is made to move and show the world in the chinese way. Many seam to be involve here. 100 million people were or are still expected to come and see what they should see. Shanghai like many modern and spread out cities is ugly during day time under the strait sun or under clouds. Like many other cities something is visually happening at the sunset. Then at night electric lights make the city much more alluring. For world expo the government and estate companies light their buildings or infrastructures, for the show, and for a better city and a better life, at 10pm general turn-off.

Schools and universities holidays just finished few days ago and what was my no cultivated surprise when i understood that here comes the next holidays. Some very serious one: the moon festival. Go and visit your family, trains and planes are crammed of “human beijings”, give, receive and eat monn cakes (i will try).3 days off starting on 22th september. But it is not over then comes the national day on the first of october. I seems that this will turn off the stress 5 days…. Get more details but in french about chinise holiday meaningshere. I declined Rose Jiang Art Channel Gallery (more here) friendly invitation and will not go to beijing this time :( but just received a Ling Gu moon festival party invitation for tonight :)
